Gamescom is the largest gaming event in the European region and was held in Cologne, Germany. It is the leading game industry B2B show in Europe. The attendance recorded reached over 320K attendees, attendance was up 20% and expected to grow.
Corsair is a leading technology company known for its gaming peripherals and components. As a parent company, it owns several subsidiary brands that focus on specific areas within the gaming and tech markets including Elgato which specializes in streaming equipment, and SCUF well-known for their customizable gaming controllers.
Each brand had their own stand at Gamescom, but all had to work cohesively together at the trade show booth. Our goals were simply to create an impactful and memorable experience for the audience, increase brand awareness, connect with our fans and attract new customer with a complete product experience in an experiential and fun way.
I designed the trade show booth with making sure all three brands worked cohesively well together and it was designed to help navigate the attendees across each brands sectional area. It was important to keep it unified to avoid any confusion or division across all brands. Since there was going to be a streaming pod and racing simulator setup it was important to have our walls become a back drop for photos and social media influencers.
Having distinct areas for all 3 brands in such a cohesive way was great. Many people did not know all these brands were under the Corsair umbrella, but liked to see that everything worked together. It brought the three brands closer together. The scale of the tallest structure at the booth is 8 meters tall, which was used as a storage room and sectioned off to use as a streaming room.
